
The outgoing Group Managing Director (GMD), United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA), Philip Oduoza, will on Friday July 22 delivers the fourth Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria’s (CIBN) valedictory lecture having had an eventful career at UBA.
CIBN in a statement said, “in view of having achieved a remarkable, inspiring and enviable banking career as GMD/CEO of UBA with decades of diverse management and operational experience, Oduoza deserves to be recognised.
“The CIBN instituted a valedictory lecture series in 2008 to acknowledge, honour and celebrate the contributions of individuals who have distinguished themselves and reached the pinnacle of their career in banking”, the statement said.
The UBA GMD would be speaking on the topic: “The Emergence of a Nigerian Pan-African Bank.”
