
Investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) suffered a massive loss of N108 billion in today’s market transactions as the Market Capitalisation and All-Share Index which opened the day at N9.617 trillion and 28,000.80 basis points closed at N9.509 trillion and 27,687.80 basis points respectively.
A total of 301.151 million shares were exchanged by investors in 3,681.00 deals with the attached value of N2.341 billion.
The most appreciative stock in todays trading on the Exchange was TOTAL which began the day trading at N200.4 and closed at N206 per share having added N5.6 to its opening price; MRS added N3.95 to its opening value of N38.78 per share to close at N42.73; NESTLE opened at N816.2 and closed at N820 as it was marked up by N3.8 per share; PZ came to market with per share value of N18.45 to close at N19 having gained N0.55 while FO began the day at N167 and closed at N167.22 as it was marked up by N0.22 per share.
On the other hand, SEPLAT led the day decliners’ table as it fell from its opening value of N282.94 to close at N255.36 as it was marked down by N27.58; 7UP which began trading today at N133, closed at N126.35 as it recorded a loss of N6.65; WAPCO began the day trading at N53.07, it closed at N51.00 as it was marked down by N2.07 per share. FLOURMILL started today’s trading at N21.5, it closed at N20.43 as it recorded a loss of N1.07 per share and NB which opened the day trading at N133.13 per share closed at N132.55 as it recorded per share loss of N0.58.
The most traded stock today was FIDSON which accounted for 51.505 million shares valued at N113.162 million; FIDELITYBK traded 45.556 million shares at N49.111 million; GUARANTY traded 38.982 million shares with the attached value of N935.939 million; UBA traded 33.482 million shares at N156.729million and TRANSCORP traded 22.667 million shares at N28.234 million.
