
Investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) spent N3.603 billion on 313.276 million shares in 2,883 deals on Thursday as against 297.476 million shares valued at N2.289 billion in 3,438 deals traded on Wednesday even as the Market All-Share Index and Market Capitalisation which closed at 27,437.25 basis points and N9.423 trillion respectively the previous day, came down to 27,420.99 basis points and N9.417 trillion translating to a loss of N6 billion by investors in the day transactions.
The most appreciated stock of the day was WAPCO which began the day trading activities at N55.3 to close at N56.00 having gained N0.7 per share; ZENITHBANK rose from its opening value of N15.00 to close at N15.30 as it added N0.30 to its per share value; STANBIC added N0.15 to its opening value of N13.95 and closed at N14.1 per share. ETERNA began the day trading at N2.50 and closed at N2.62 having recorded a gain of N0.12 per share while AFRIPRUD which came in at N2.52 ended the day trading at N2.61 as it was marked up by N0.09 per share.
The loses’ chart of the day was led by GUINNESS with per share depreciation of N3.51 and from its opening value of N93.5, it closed at N89.99 per share; TOTAL began the day trading at N251.00 per share to close at N249.00 having been marked down by N2.00; MOBIL recorded a loss per share of N1.73 and from its opening value of N169.67 it ended the day trading activities at N167.94 per share; GUARANTY came to the market at N25.00 per share and closed at N24.7 as it recorded a loss of N0.3 per share while UBN opened the day trading at N4.15 and closed at N3.95 as it recorded a loss per share of N0.20.
The most traded stock of the day was UBA which traded 120.735 million shares valued at N507.697 million; DIAMONDBNK accounted for 36.837 million shares at the attached value of N39.957 million; GUARANTY traded 36.763 million shares valued at N917.306 million; ACCESS traded 15.260million shares in N81.715million and FBNH was responsible for 14.594 million shares in N45.875 million shares.
