Market dip by 0.11% as investors lose N10bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.11 per cent while the Year-to-Date return stood at -4.95 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 27,223.08 against the previous close of 27,252.48 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.351 trillion against previous close of ₦9.361 trillion, translating to a loss of N10 billion by investors on the Exchange.
Volume traded increased by 8.05 per cent from 187.602 million to 202.705 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 4.07 per cent from ₦1.313 billion to ₦1.259 billion in 3,337 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 162.223 million shares exchanged for ₦0.967 billion. Conglomerates came next with 22.859 million shares traded for ₦0.032 billion, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
FCMB, Transcorp, Guaranty, FBNH and Sterlnbank were the most active stocks by volume. Champion, Transcorp, Airservice, MRS and UBN emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while ETI, Oando, UAC-PROP, Portpaint and Fidson topped the losers chart.
