Market closes the week with N17bn gain
The Market capitalisation and the All-Share Index (NSE ASI) of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) which closed at N8.69 trillion and 25,265.08 basis points respectively on Thursday closed at N8.86 trillion and 25,740.83 basis points on Friday as investors closed the week with a gain of N17 billion.
The market recorded a volume transaction of 576.852 million shares valued at N1.349 billion recorded in 2,258.00 deals.
The most appreciated stock for the day was MOBIL ,from its opening value of N294, it closed the day at N324.13 as it gained N30.13; NESTLE from N810.06 closed at N820 having gained N9.94; FO opened at N59.2 and closed at 65.26 as it gained N6.06; DANGCEM opened at N154 and closed at N160.00 as it added N6.00 while GUARANTY which opened the day trading at N22.8 closed at N23.49 as it gained N0.69.
The day decliners was led by UNIONDICON and from its opening value of N16.49, it closed at N15.67 as it made a loss of N0.82; FLOURMILL, from N19.49, it closed at N19.2 as it was marked down by N0.29; CCNN , from its opening value of N4.26, it closed the day trading at N4.05 as it made a loss of N0.21; DANGSUGAR moved down from its opening value of N5.95 to close at N5.8 as it made a loss of N0.15 and CHAMPION from its opening value of N2.45, it closed at N2.34 as it made a loss of N0.11 per share.
The most traded stock of the day was WEMABANK which traded 417.057 million shares valued at N233.563 million; DIAMONDBNK accounted for 45.422 million shares with the attached value of N42.201 million; ACCESS traded 20.312 million shares valued at N110.752 million; FCMB traded 20.246 million shares at N20.243 million and TRANSCORP’ 10.296 million shares attracted N7.300 million.
