Investors close trading week with N51bn gain

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.56 per cent, while the Year-to-Date return stood at -6.76 per cent

The All Share Index closed at 26,707.10 against the previous close of 26,559.01 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.189 trillion against previous close of ₦9.138 trillion.

Volume traded increased by 337.20 per cent from 199.984 million to 874.335 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 191.79 per cent from ₦1.503 billion to ₦4.386 billion in 3,387 deals.

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 836.324 million shares exchanged for ₦3.751 billion. Conglomerates came next with 13.51 million shares traded for ₦0.013 billion, Industrial Goods, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.

UBN, UBA, NEM, Mansard and Fidelitybk were the most active stocks by volume. ETI, Fidson, CCNN, Custodyins and Honyflour emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Unilever, FO, Portpaint, Betaglas and Intbrew topped the losers chart.
