SEC suspends Heritage Capital Markets indefinitely

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC,  Nigeria’s apex capital market regulator, has suspended indefinitely Heritage Capital Markets Limited- a capital market operator, over unauthorized sale of shares.

The SEC in a notice on its official website said it suspended the firm together with its directors and sponsored individuals in connection with the unauthorized sale of shares belonging to an investor and its refusal to comply with the commission’s directives in that regard.

The regulator said the suspension is indefinite affirming that it will remain in force pending the resolution of the matter against the operator.

The company was incorporated on 24th November 1997 and now has an authorized share capital of ₦2,000,000,000 in shares of ₦1.00 each and shareholders’ fund in excess of ₦1,000,000,000. Our current share capital position enables us to position for the emerging investment banking opportunities in our environment.
