Investors in equities on NSE lose N42bn on second trading day
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.46 per cent, while the Year-to-Date return stood at -1.41 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 26,495.04 against the previous close of 26,616.89 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.116 trillion against previous close of ₦9.158 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 82.13 per cent from 3369.145 million to 602.047 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 67.99 per cent from ₦3.762 billion to ₦1.204 billion in 2,150 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 42.339 million shares exchanged for ₦0.285 billion. Oil And Gas came next with 4.81 million shares traded for ₦0.08 billion, Conglomerates, Consumer Goods, Industrial Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Omosavbnk, UBA, UCAP, Guaranty and Transcorp were the most active stocks by volume. Vitafoam, Livestock, UAC-PROP, Afriprud and UCAP emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Ashakacem, Guaranty, Diamondbnk, CCNN and Oando topped the losers chart.
