The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.09 per cent while the Year-to-Date return stood at -2.36 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 26,240.45 against the previous close of 26,217.54 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.029 trillion against previous close of ₦9.021 trillion.
Volume of shares traded increased by 1.23 per cent from 187.704 million to 190.007 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 76.65 per cent from ₦10.428 billion to ₦2.435 billion in 2,896 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 123.204 million shares exchanged for ₦0.598 billion. Agriculture came next with 32.296 million shares traded for ₦1.365 billion, Conglomerates, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Transcorp, Presco, Fidelitybk, FCMB and Zenithbank were the most active stocks by volume. NASCON, Neimeth, Custodyins, Oando and Wapic emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Honyflour, Livestock, Aglevent, UAC-PROP and NAHCO topped the losers chart.
