Market rises by 0.15% as investors gain N13bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSEASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.15 per cent, while the Year-to-Date return stood at -2.03 per cent even as investors gained N13 billion.
The All-Share Index closed at 26,328.22 against the previous close of 26,289.95 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.059 trillion against previous close of ₦9.046 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 62.33 per cent from 146.486 million to 237.789 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 84.71 per cent from ₦1.188 billion to ₦2.194 billion in 2,725 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 123.375 million shares exchanged for ₦1.04 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 97.333 million shares traded for ₦0.949 billion, Oil And Gas, Conglomerates, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Champion, Zenithbank, Diamondbnk, Ucap and Fcmb were the most active stocks by volume. Champion, 7Up, Total, Neimeth and Nahco emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Nascon, Cutix, Transcorp, Fidson and Transexpr topped the losers chart
