Market drops by 1.40% as investors lose N122bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 1.40 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -7.61 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 24,829.59 against the previous close of 25,183.10 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.593 trillion against previous close of ₦ 8.715 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 18.43 per cent from 228.024 million to 186.005 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 26.85 per cent from ₦2.391 billion to ₦1.749 billion in 2,899 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 143.913 million shares exchanged for ₦1.063 billion.
Oil and Gas came next with 17.663 million shares traded for ₦0.103 billion, Conglomerates, Consumer Goods, Agriculture sectors followed in that order on the activity chart
Zenithbank, Uba, Ucap, Oando and Access were the most active stocks by volume.
Fo, Okomuoil, Aiico, Fcmb and Oando emerged he highest price gainers on the chart, while Unitybnk, Dangcem, Dangsugar, Afriprud and Paintcom topped the losers chart.
