Market rises by 0.46% as gain N41bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.46 per cent on Thursday, while the year-to-date return stood at -5.42 per cent as investors recorded price appreciation of N41 billion.
The All-Share Index closed at 25,418.08 against the previous close of 25,301.23 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.797 trillion against previous close of ₦8.756 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 20.18 per cent from 233.778 million to 280.945 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 8.58 per cent from ₦2.164 billion to ₦2.349 billion in 2,468 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 202.295 million shares exchanged for ₦1.328 billion.
Oil And Gas came next with 56.152 million shares traded for ₦0.762 billion, Consumer Goods, Conglomerates, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Custodyins, Oando, UBA, Zenithbank and Guaranty were the most active stocks by volume. Portpaint, UAC-PROP, Sterlnbank, UBA and Cadbury emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while 7Up, Ashakacem, Custodyins, Jaizbank and Fidson topped the losers chart.
