Nigerian bourse down 0.17% as investors lose N15bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.17 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -5.06 per cent as investors recorded a loss of N15 billion in the day trading.
The All-Share Index closed at 25,514.17 against the previous close of 25,558.57 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.828 trillion against previous close of ₦8.843 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 29.35 per cent from 153.721 million to 198.838 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 68.40 per cent from ₦1.501 billion to ₦2.528 billion in 2,306 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 178.128 million shares exchanged for ₦1.438 billion. Conglomerates came next with 7.703 million shares traded for ₦0.01 billion, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas, Industrial Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Uba, Guaranty, Access, Diamondbnk and Fcmb were the most active stocks by volume. Wapco, Jberger, Afriprud, Custodyins and Nahco emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Eterna, Unilever, Uacn, Intbrew and Learnafrca topped the losers chart.
