NSE: Volume of traded shares down by 55.33% on Friday
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.03 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -4.20 per cent even as the volume of traded shares dropped by 55.33 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 25,746.52 against the previous close of 25,755.18 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.909 trillion against previous close of ₦8.912 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 55.33 per cent from 241.621 million to 107.936 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 39.07 per cent from ₦1.490 billion to ₦0.908 billion in 2,405 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 70.952 million shares exchanged for ₦0.198 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 19.184 million shares traded for ₦0.515 billion, Services, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Fidelitybk, FCMB, Diamondbnk, Dangflour and UBA were the most active stocks by volume. Dangflour, Fidelitybk, Intbrew, ETI and Continsure emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Wapco, Oando, Meyer, UAC-PROP and Livestock topped the losers chart.
