Nigeria bourse rises by 0.05% as investors gain N5bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.05 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -5.08 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 25,510.01 against the previous close of 25,496.71 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.827 trillion against previous close of ₦8.822 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 41.02 per cent from 247.678 million to 349.279 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 82.81 per cent from ₦1.247 billion to ₦2.280 billion in 2,826 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 298.878 million shares exchanged for ₦1.57 billion. Healthcare came next with 21.51 million shares traded for ₦0.277 billion, Conglomerates, Consumer Goods, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Fidelitybk, FBNH, FCMB, Zenithbank and Glaxosmith were the most active stocks by volume. Cileasing, NASCON, Transcorp, Caverton and Fidson emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Uniondicon, AIICO, FO, Afriprud and Guaranty topped the losers chart.
