Market down by 0.37% as investors lose N34bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.37 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -6.27 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 25,189.37 against the previous close of 25,282.75 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.716 trillion against previous close of ₦8.750 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 16.04 per cent from 147.888 million to 171.605 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 32.22 per cent from ₦0.837 billion to ₦1.106 billion in 0,000 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 100.507 million shares exchanged for ₦0.33 billion. Conglomerates came next with 38.262 million shares traded for ₦0.101 billion, Consumer Goods, Services, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
FCMB, Transcorp, Flourmill, Diamondbnk and FBNH were the most active stocks by volume. Livestock, Unilever, Dangsugar, Stanbic and Honyflour emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while 7Up, FBNH, UBN, Npfmcrfbk and Transexpr topped the losers chart.
