Unity Bank commiserates with accident victims at its head office
Unity Bank has announced an accident involving staff of outsourced Facility Management Company carrying out maintenance services on the Bank’s building.
The incident happened during routine maintenance on part of its Head Office Building, on 42 Ahmed Onibudo, Monday afternoon.
The maintenance work was being carried out by a subcontractor to Highpoint Properties Limited.
Sets of scaffolds being mounted by the technicians collapsed midway injuring three persons that fell from the platform. They sustained various degrees of injuries and have been rushed to an undisclosed hospital on Victoria Island.
The most Senior Supervisor of Highpoint Properties Limited on site, Mr. UcheIzuobi, who accompanied the victims to the hospital, said that the doctors were working hard to revive the injured persons and pledged that his company will issue a statement to update the public on the progress being made by the victims.
The Head, Corporate Communications, Unity Bank Plc, Mr. Matthew Obiazikwor expressed the bank’s sadness over the incident and commiserated with the victims, their families and the staff and Management of Highpoint Properties Limited.
He assured all stakeholders of the Bank’s commitment to ensure that the victims receive the best possible care.
