Nigerian bourse up 0.28% as investors gain N25bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.28 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at -3.93 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 25,818.87 against the previous close of 25,747.05 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦8.934 trillion against previous close of ₦8.909 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 39.82 per cent from 211.757 million to 127.432 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 35.51 per cent from ₦1.410 billion to ₦0.909 billion in 3,176 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 85.546 million shares exchanged for ₦0.451 billion. Conglomerates came next with 21.291 million shares traded for ₦0.138 billion, Consumer Goods, Services, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
FCMB, NEM, Transcorp, Zenithbank and UACN were the most active stocks by volume. Ashakacem, UAC-PROP, Fidson, Cileasing and NEM emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Champion, Learnafrca, Livestock, Diamondbnk and Transcorp topped the losers chart.
