Market continues bullish run, rises by 3.18%
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 3.18 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 5.76 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 28,423.70 against the previous close of 27,546.68 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.825 trillion against previous close of ₦9.522 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 37.14 per cent from 584.120 million to 801.075 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 38.41 per cent from ₦5.651 billion to ₦7.822 billion in 6,481 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 622.124 million shares exchanged for ₦3.385 billion. Conglomerates came next with 62.115 million shares traded for ₦0.103 billion, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas, Healthcare sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
FCMB, FBNH, Fidelitybk, Transcorp and UBA were the most active stocks by volume. FO, ETI, CCNN, Maybaker and Cadbury emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Seplat, Bocgas, Continsure, Learnafrca and Wapic topped the losers chart.
