Nigerian bourse continues upward move as market up by 0.69%
The Nigerian Stock Exchange continue with the positive trend of Tuesday on Wednesday as the All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.69 per cent, while the Year-to-Date return stood at 5.25 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 28,286.43 against the previous close of 28,093.30 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.779 trillion against previous close of ₦9.712 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 46.35 per cent from 212.690 million to 311.276 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 58.56 per cent from ₦2.181 billion to ₦3.458 billion in 4,194 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 264.712 million shares exchanged for ₦2.503 billion. Conglomerates came next with 14.482 million shares traded for ₦0.023 billion, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas, Construction/Real Estate sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Zenithbank, Jaizbank, FBNH, Diamondbnk and Fidelitybk were the most active stocks by volume. Vitafoam, CCNN, Intbrew, Mansard and UAC-PROP emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Johnholt, Oando, Maybaker, FO and Champion topped the losers chart.
