Market strengthens further as investors gain N41bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.64 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 5.93 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 28,467.61 against the previous close of 28,286.43 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦9.841 trillion against previous close of ₦9.779 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 34.59% from 311.276 million to 418.936 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 43.49% from ₦3.458 billion to ₦4.962 billion in 3,944 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 384.222 million shares exchanged for ₦4.323 billion. Conglomerates came next with 7.449 million shares traded for ₦0.015 billion, Consumer Goods, Construction/Real Estate, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Access, Guaranty, Diamondbnk, Stanbic and FBNH were the most active stocks by volume. UAC-PROP, Livestock, Glaxosmith, Linkassure and Transcohot emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while PZ, Mobil, Honyflour, Maybaker and Sterlnbank topped the losers chart.
