Nigerian bourse rises by 0.73% as investors gain N73bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.73 per cent, while the Year-to-Date return stood at 8.94 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 29,276.59 against the previous close of 29,064.52 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦10.121 trillion against previous close of ₦10.048 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 14.74% from 725.543 million to 832.518 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 32.83 per cent from ₦5.715 billion to ₦7.591 billion in 6,259 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 669.401 million shares exchanged for ₦5.976 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 93.7 million shares traded for ₦0.498 billion, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas, Industrial Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Diamondbnk, Champion, Guaranty, Zenithbank and FBNH were the most active stocks by volume. Mansard, FBNH, CCNN, Flourmill and Cutix emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Seplat, 7Up, Enamelwa, NAHCO and Intbrew topped the losers chart.
