Nigerian bourse down by 0.28% as investors lose N29bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.28 per cent while the year-to-date return stood at 23.32 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 33,141.85 against the previous close of 33,235.28 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.461 trillion against previous close of ₦11.490 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 18.13 per cent from 501.082 million to 410.223 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 9.26 per cent from ₦6.112 billion to ₦5.546 billion in 6,167 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 309.563 million shares exchanged for ₦3.002 billion. Conglomerates came next with 50.577 million shares traded for ₦0.113 billion, Consumer Goods, Oil And Gas, Agriculture sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Zenithbank, Transcorp, FCMB, Diamondbnk and FBNH were the most active stocks by volume. Maybaker, Transcorp, Skyebank, Npfmcrfbk and Presco emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while FO, Cadbury, Champion, Initsplc and Learnafrca topped the losers chart.
