Nigerian bourse adds 0.59% on Thursday trading
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.59 per cent while the Year-to-Date return stood at 25.76 per cent on Thursday.
The All-Share Index closed at 33,797.84 against the previous close of 33,598.20 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.687 trillion against previous close of ₦11.618 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 24.43 per cent from 759.046 million to 573.604 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 24.74per cent from ₦6.295 billion to ₦7.852 billion in 6,584 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 489.333 million shares exchanged for ₦5.78 billion. Conglomerates came next with 29.147 million shares traded for ₦0.087 billion, Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Agriculture sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Access, Zenithbank, FBNH, Guaranty and UBA were the most active stocks by volume. Maybaker, Skyebank, Unilever, Fidson and UAC-PROP emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Champion, Honyflour, Jaizbank, Neimeth and Mobil topped the losers chart.
