Market closes the week upbeat, rises by 0.04%
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.04 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 25.81 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 33,810.56 against the previous close of 33,797.84 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.692 trillion against previous close of ₦11.687 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 14.01 per cent from 573.604 million to 493.267 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 20.57 per cent from ₦7.852 billion to ₦6.237 billion in 5,474 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 403.479 million shares exchanged for ₦4.236 billion.
Conglomerates came next with 60.768 million shares traded for ₦0.124 billion, Consumer Goods, Industrial Goods, Agriculture sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
LASACO, Zenithbank, Access, Transcorp and Guaranty were the most active stocks by volume. ETI, CCNN, Maybaker, Skyebank and AIICO emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Intbrew, Betaglas, Continsure, Unitybnk and Honyflour topped the losers chart.
