Nigerian bourse up 0.71% as investors gain N83bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.71 per cent, while the Year-to-Date return stood at 27.91 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 34,375.60 against the previous close of 34,134.67 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.887 trillion against previous close of ₦11.804 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 18.70 per cent from 482.517 million to 392.268 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 25.77 per cent from ₦5.682 billion to ₦4.217 billion in 5,412 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 271.859 million shares exchanged for ₦1.958 billion. Conglomerates came next with 58.553 million shares traded for ₦0.111 billion, Consumer Goods, Agriculture, Oil and Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Transcorp, Zenithbank, Skyebank, FBNH and Diamondbnk were the most active stocks by volume. Maybaker, CCNN, Jberger, Wemabank and Neimeth emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Jaizbank, FO, Fidson, Champion and Glaxosmith topped the losers chart.
