Nigerian bourse recovers N18bn as index adds 0.16%
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.16 per cent on Thursday, while the year-to-date return stood at 20.39 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 32,354.78 against the previous close of 32,302.32 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.151 trillion against previous close of ₦11.133 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 45.88 per cent from 311.381 million to 168.513 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 21.93 per cent from ₦2.975 billion to ₦3.627 billion in 3,536 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 105.616 million shares exchanged for ₦1.58 billion. Conglomerates came next with 22.48 million shares traded for ₦0.035 billion, Consumer Goods, Agriculture, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Guaranty, Transcorp, FBNH, Sterlnbank and Livestock were the most active stocks by volume. Oando, Mansard, 7Up, Cutix and FCMB emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Maybaker, UACN, Fidson, Flourmill and Redstarex topped the losers chart.
