Nigerian bourse continues positive trend, adding N73bn, up by 0.65%

For second day in a row, The Nigerian Stock Exchange closed in the positive territory as the market All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.65 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 22.15 per cent while investors on The Exchange recorded joint gain of N73 billion.
The All-Share Index closed at 32,827.98 against the previous close of 32,614.60 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.314 trillion against previous close of ₦11.241 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 20.15 per cent from 182.071 million to 218.764 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 3.83 per cent from ₦2.028 billion to ₦2.105 billion in 4,991 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 171.421 million shares exchanged for ₦1.246 billion. Conglomerates came next with 10.953 million shares traded for ₦0.021 billion, Consumer Goods, Agriculture, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
UBA, Nigerins, Zenithbank, Diamondbnk and FCMB were the most active stocks by volume. Neimeth, Vitafoam, Okomuoil, Goldbrew and Oando emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while UBN, Presco, Cadbury, Learnafrca and Jaizbank topped the losers chart.
