Nigerian bourse continues impressive run as index gains 0.54% Thursday
The Nigerian bourse continued its positive rally on Thursday as the market All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.54 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 25.38 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 33,695.83 against the previous close of 33,514.93 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦11.613 trillion against previous close of ₦11.551 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 42.24 per cent from 331.431 million to 191.430 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 32.76 per cent from ₦3.245 billion to ₦2.182 billion in 3,718 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 143.042 million shares exchanged for ₦1.28 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 18.526 million shares traded for ₦0.654 billion, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Prestige, Guaranty, Transcorp, FBNH and Zenithbank were the most active stocks by volume. Neimeth, Skyebank, Wapco, Dangflour and UACN emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while 7UP, Vitafoam, Aglevent, Berger and PZ topped the losers chart.
