Nigerian bourse opens trading week 0.28% down
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.28 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 31.74 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 35,403.92 against the previous close of 35,504.62 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.203 trillion against previous close of ₦12.237 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 13.69 per cent from 266.506 million to 230.029 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 18.31 per cent from ₦4.036 billion to ₦4.775 billion in 4,188 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 189.551 million shares exchanged for ₦2.029 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 24.092 million shares traded for ₦2.207 billion, Conglomerates, Services, Industrial Goods sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Access, UBA, Zenithbank, FBNH and Stanbic were the most active stocks by volume. Cileasing, NEM, Guinness, Skyebank and FBNH emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Seplat, Jberger, Wapco, Cadbury and Total topped the losers chart.
