Nigerian bourse up 0.58% on Wednesday
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.58 per cent, while the year-to-date return stood at 32.50 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 35,609.07 against the previous close of 35,403.92 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.273 trillion against previous close of ₦12.203 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 22.52 per cent from 230.029 million to 281.837 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 13.60 per cent from ₦4.775 billion to ₦5.424 billion in 4,066 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 249.059 million shares exchanged for ₦4.071 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 17.418 million shares traded for ₦1.109 billion, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Guaranty, Access, FBNH, Fidelitybk and Sterlnbank were the most active stocks by volume. Guinness, Redstarex, Airservice, Aglevent and Diamondbnk emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while PZ, Morison, Linkassure, Firstalum and AIICO topped the losers chart.
