NSE index down 0.08% on Tuesday, investors lose 10bn
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All-Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.08 per cent on Tuesday trading on The Exchange while the year-to-date return stood at 29.66 per cent.
The All Share Index closed at 34,846.82 against the previous close of 34,873.07 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.012 trillion against previous close of ₦12.022 trillion.
Volume traded increased by 7.32 per cent from 162.738 million to 174.656 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 84.01 per cent from ₦1.537 billion to ₦2.829 billion in 3,783 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 139.394 million shares exchanged for ₦1.957 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 11.296 million shares traded for ₦0.58 billion, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Guaranty, FCMB, FBNH, Mansard and Zenithbank were the most active stocks by volume. Linkassure, Mansard, Jaizbank, Nestle and Vitafoam emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while FBNH, 7Up, NEM, Transcorp and Fidson topped the losers chart.
