Nigerian bourse closes positive as investors gain N68bn Tuesday

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.54 per cent while the year-to-date return stood at 36.49 per cent as investors gained N68 billion in the day transactions.

The All Share Index closed at 36,680.29 against the previous close of 36,484.30 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.695 trillion against previous close of ₦12.627 trillion.

Volume traded increased by 48.08 per cent from 174.958 million to 259.080 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 67.47 per cent from ₦1.824 billion to ₦3.055 billion in 4,503 deals.

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 176.623 million shares exchanged for ₦1.184 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 44.363 million shares traded for ₦1.211 billion, Conglomerates, Industrial Goods, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.

Diamondbnk, Fidelitybk, FBNH, Dangflour and Transcorp were the most active stocks by volume. Fidson, Flourmill, Cap, Dangflour and Vitafoam emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Fidelitybk, Betaglas, Airservice, Jaizbank and Livestock topped the losers chart.
