Nigerian bourse down 0.24% Thursday as bear fights back
The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.24 per cent while the Year-to-Date return stood at 37.87 per cent.
The All-Share Index closed at 37,051.54 against the previous close of 37,138.97 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.823 trillion against previous close of ₦12.854 trillion.
Volume traded decreased by 9.16 per cent from 193.477 million to 175.752 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 94.91 per cent from ₦1.807 billion to ₦3.523 billion in 3,357 deals.
The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 130.541 million shares exchanged for ₦1.833 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 16.472 million shares traded for ₦0.556 billion, Conglomerates, Oil And Gas, Services sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.
Guaranty, Fidelitybk, FBNH, FCMB and Diamondbnk were the most active stocks by volume. Caverton, Intbrew, Mobil, Maybaker and FO emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Lawunion, Npfmcrfbk, Fidelitybk, Nascon and Champion topped the losers chart.
