After 50 minutes closed door session, the Senate on Wednesday declared the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, as enemy of democracy.
The Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, made the position of the senators on the IGP known.
Saraki said Idris is unfit to hold public office in the country and abroad.
The resolutions of the Senate were sequel to the failure of Idris to honour the Senate invitation three times.
The Senate had invited Idris three times to brief the lawmakers on the spate of killings across the country and the inhuman treatment of Senator Dino Melaye.
