Osinbajo’s helicopter in emergency landing
A helicopter conveying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo from Gwagwalada to the Villa on Thursday had to make an emergency landing at the Area Council.
The helicopter was to convey the VP from the Nigeria Customs Staff College located in Gwagwalada where he had gone to attend a function.
The helicopter was said to have developed fault shortly after take–off and had to land almost immediately.
Laolu Akande, the spokesman to Vice President explained why his principal had to return to the State House by road.
“VP Osinbajo attended the graduation ceremony of Nigeria Customs Senior Course in Gwagwalada today.
“On his way back, it was decided, for technical reasons, not to fly the chopper that had brought him to the venue. He drove back to the Presidential Villa & continued his schedule,” Akande tweeted.
