Also, the chairman of the party in the local government, Hon Salaudeen Oyedokun asserted that judging from the feelers at the grassroots, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade is the choice of the masses.

They made these known on Tuesday when Akinbade visited the local government in continuation of his consultations with party members and stakeholders ahead of the primary slated for July 17.

According to Adetoyi, the ex lawmaker, who was visibly angered by the antics of some aspirants and delegates who have taken to diabolical means in a bid to get votes, warned of dire consequences of such action.

The former member of the State House of Assembly who was applauded by party members and leaders from all the wards in the local government who filled the Okuku Town Hall to the brim, rained curses on the perpetrators and those involved in the oath-taking.

“The consequence of oath-taking is beyond measure. Why will some people suffer eternally because of greed. How much is the amount involved that some of our delegates are putting generational curses on themselves? I want to refer our delegates to Quranic and Biblical verses that stress curses on evil oath takers. Hear me, for those involved, their five generations shall suffer the pains and curses of the evil oath made by some these delegates. Please check your Bible or Quran” he maintained

While canvassing support for Akinbade, Adetoyi described the former SSG as a full home grown politician who knows the people of the state and their needs as well as how to navigate the course of the state to a successful berth.

“I have known Akinbade since 1992 and Akinbade is not a traitor. Akinbade is a man of his words. He has been around for long and has been a blessing to the state and its people. We should all support him to clinch the party’s ticket at the coming primary ” he implored

In the same vein, the party chairman in the local government, warned delegates from the council area against being misled into voting for wrong people.

“Judging from what we hear on a daily basis from our people, 95% of the eventual voters in Osun, are behind Akinbade. Akinbade is one of the best aspirants so far. So I want to urge our delegates from Odo-Otin not to lose focus by going the wrong ways. Masses’ choice is what we must consider over and above any selfish motive” admonished Oyedokun
