Several trapped in rubble as two-storey building collapses in Ibadan

Barely three days after the Lagos incidence, a two-storey building collapsed in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The yet-to-be-completed building crashed down on Friday evening leaving several construction workers trapped in the rubble.

An eyewitness said that the incident occurred at about 6 p.m at Sogoye, around the popular Idi Arere-Molete Road. At the time of filing this report, three persons had been pulled out of the rubble with severe injuries.

Few days after the building housing a school collapsed in Ita-faji area of Lagos state leading to several casualties, the Lagos State government on Friday began demolition marked structures and badly constructed buildings in the state.
