High spate of insecurity in Nigeria: Reps summon Buhari again
Nigerian House of Representatives has again summoned President Muhammadu Buhari to appear before its chamber to explain what his government was doing to address insecurity situation in the country.
The House of Reps sent the invitation to President Buhari during its Thursday plenary in Abuja following members’ anonymous adoption of a motion on the security crises in parts of Katsina State.
It would be recalled that the lawmakers had on April 11, 2019, anonymously adopted a motion to “request that the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces address the House and the entire nation within 48 hours.”
Still on the issue of insecurity in the country, at the plenary on Tuesday, another motion was adopted on the security crises in parts of Katsina State, asking the chamber to re-invite the President.
