  Late ISIL leader’s replacement Abu al-Muhajir killed – Donald Trump

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced the killing of Abu al-Hassan al-Muhajir, the new leader just appointed to head the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), after the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Trump announced that al-Muhajir was ‘terminated’ in a tweet confirming the development just days after he announced the killing of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the former leader of the terrorist organisation.

Trump tweeted: “Just confirmed that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s number one replacement has been terminated by American troops. Most likely would have taken the top spot – Now he is also Dead!”

Though Trump did not give details about the identity of this new leader of ISIL that was killed, earlier reports named al-Muhajir as the leader.

Aljazeera reports that the US government also confirmed the killing of a spokesperson “and a high-ranking figure within the group.” The report said fingers are pointing in the direction of Abu Othman al-Tunsi, a Tunisian national who heads ISIL’s Shura council, as the next new leader of the group.

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was finally brought to justice years after he led the ISIL and made the organisation the most brutal.

The world number one terrorist, according to Trump, was killed when a US Special Ops forces raided his hideout in northwest Syria.
