The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced the killing of Abu al-Hassan al-Muhajir, the new leader just appointed to head the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), after the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Trump tweeted: “Just confirmed that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s number one replacement has been terminated by American troops. Most likely would have taken the top spot – Now he is also Dead!”
