Nigerian Police redeploys 7 DIGs with immediate effect
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Muhammed Adamu has announced the posting of seven Deputy Inspectors-General (DIGs) of Police and this is with immediate effect. The affected officers, according to a statement from the Police Headquarters are the following:
- Department of finance and administration – DIG Abdul Dahiru Danwawu, mni
- Department of operations – DIG Abdulmajid Ali
- Department of logistics and supply – DIG Aminchi Samaila Baraya, fdc
- Department of force criminal investigation – DIG Anthony Ogbizi Michael, fdc
- Department of training and development – DIG Lawal Shehu
- Department of research and planning – DIG Peter Babatunde Ogunyanwo, fdc
- Department of information and communication technology – DIG Celestine Okoye, fsi
