COVAD- 19: Nigeria leads West Africa in cases and death toll
Nigeria now has the highest cases of coronavirus in West Africa with 7,839 confirmed cases, as well as 226 fatalities.
Africa has recorded over 3,000 deaths due to complications arising from COVID-19.
According to the latest figure released by the Africa Centre for Disease Control (ACDC), there are 3,246 deaths recorded in the continent.
The continent has also recorded 107,412 cases in 54 countries.
As of Sunday, North Africa has the highest number on the continent with 33,382 confirmed cases.
West Africa accounts for 28,344 cases, while Southern Africa has 22,921 cases.
