COVID-19: NAHCO holds AGM by proxy July 16
Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc. (NAHCO) on Monday notified its shareholders that its 39th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for July 16 would be attended by proxy due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr Bello Abdullahi, NAHCO Aviance Company Secretary, in a notice to the shareholders posted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) web site, said that the meeting would be held at Radisson Blu Hotel, G.R.A, Ikeja, Lagos.
He said this was in view of the current COVID-19 pandemic and the directives to minimise social contacts by restricting the number of personal public gatherings.
Abdullahi said it was also in accordance with the Corporate Affairs Commission guidelines on holding of AGM of public companies by taking advantage of section 230 of the companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) using proxy.
“All members are hereby advised that attendance for the meeting shall be by proxy,” Abdullahi said.
He noted that members were entitled to vote to appoint any of some listed proxies to represent them at the meeting.
The proposed proxies are Mr Seinde Oladapo Fademi; Mrs Olatokunbo Adenike Fagbemi; Sir Sunday Nnamdi Nwosu; Mrs Adebisi Oluwayemisi Bakare and Mr Mathew Akinlade.
He said that if the dividend recommended by the Directors is approved, the accounts of shareholders whose names appear in the register of members at the close of business on June 30 would be credited.
Abdullahi also notified shareholders to open appropriate e-dividend accounts, stockbroking accounts and CSCS accounts. (NAN)
