Ondo Election: Diaspora group predicts Akeredolu’s victory

Ahead of the Saturday Ondo State gubernatorial election, a nonpartisan diaspora group, Better Nigeria, USA with over 350 Nigerian members group has expressed confidence that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the incumbent Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) will emerge victorious at the polls.

Chairman of the diaspora group, Prof. Salewa Olafioye stated this while speaking with newsmen in Detroit, Michigan USA.

Olafioye who doubled as the Executive Director of the largest African organization in North America, comprising 35 different African countries with different Nigerians organizations.

He described the achievements of Akeredolu within the three and half years in the State as unprecedented despite the dwindling revenue and the huge debt inherited from the last administration.

The former United Nations diplomat with a perfect and unequivocal position of political outcome regarding African development commended the governor on his life transforming projects and policies which will make the State economically viable as one of the reasons he deserves a second chance.

While speaking on the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2023 Presidential ambition, Olafioye as the director general, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard (BATS – V) said Tinubu achievements as Lagos State Governor is enough to earn him the ticket.

He described Tinubu as a political guru with wealth of experience and intellectual capacity that could make immense benefits to the overall development of the country if elected as president.
