Gunmen kill policeman attached to home of Ex-Bayelsa Governor, Dickson

An unidentified policeman guarding the home of a former governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson, at Toru-orua community under Sagbama Local Area of the state, has been shot dead by some gunmen.

According to SaharaReporters, the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday after the gunmen entered the compound through the creek behind the house.

When the medium contacted, spokesperson for the police in the state, Asinim Butswat, he said he will confirm and revert on the matter.

Meanwhile, a statement from Dickson’s spokesperson, Fidelis Soriwei, confirmed the attack and death of the policeman.
