New Year: Re-engineer Nigeria’s security architecture, Wale Oke tells Govt

The National Deputy President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Bishop Francis Wale Oke, has implored the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to tackle headlong, the issue of insecurity and other areas of concern in the country in the New year.

With the increasing cases of kidnapping, banditry and security issues, Wale Oke deplored the growing tension and apprehension in the country, stressing, “Without mincing words, this just goes to tell us without further delay, that our security architecture, needs to be looked into and properly engineered”

Particularly, he warned that as the nation was gradually moving into another election year, politicians should desist from further heating the polity through inflammatory statements and other related activities.

In his New Year message issued through his Media Office, the renowned cleric who is also the Presiding Bishop of the Sword of the Spirit, admonished Nigerians to fear God by walking in His obedience in the new year for His purpose to be fulfilled on the people and country.

“Nigeria, no doubt is going through a lot. Nonetheless, God has not and will never abandon His people. Ours is just to rely totally on God, walk in His obedience and fear Him all the time”

According to Wale Oke, those who key into God’s plans and purpose in the new year, would enjoy an all-round blessing and abundance.

On the resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic, he urged the people to always observe related protocols that could curb it while appealing to the government to be sincere in their fight against the disease.
