Nigerian needs divine intervention -Wale Oke

The President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Francis Wale Oke, has described Nigeria as a country on a cliff hanger that urgently needs divine intervention.

Wale Oke who is also the Presiding Bishop of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries and the Proprietor, Precious Cornerstone University (PCU), Ibadan, raised the alarm in Ibadan, at  a programme organised to honour him by the Oyo State PFN.

He lamented that the fibre of the nation’s existence is being threatened on all fronts by security related challenges and corruption.

Wale Oke. however, assured that a Save Nigeria project that would be targeted at galvanising the populace through prayers and political education, would be put in place by the body.

The Cleric stressed that the PFN is evolving a mechanism that would ensure the mobilisation of the country towards choosing the right leaders at the 2023 polls.

He said this was part of his 7-point agenda for the nation and the Christian body in the country as the nation’s PFN helmsman.

“Save Nigeria Project as part of the 7-point agenda of the PFN, will be used to galvanise Christians across the country through prayers and political education. This will be done in such a way that our people across the 774 local governments in the country, will be involved in choosing our leaders at the 2023 elections.”

Earlier, at the service of honour organized to celebrate him, the State PFN Chairman, Rev Samson Ajetunmobi, described Oyo State as the spiritual capital of Nigeria.

“God is going to hold Oyo State responsible for whatever happens to Nigeria. Why? Because He gave us CAN and PFN Presidents. And why this at a time and season like this when the country is so unsettled? God has given us two major voice of the church” he said.

Ajetunmobi who noted that the emergence of Wale Oke as the 7th President of PFN was spiritually symbolic, averred that the nation needed people like him whose voice could not be submerged.
