Obasanjo, Abdulsalami, Abubakar, others to meet in Abuja today

Nigeria’s former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd.); Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, and former Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, and others are set to meet on Thursday, June 10, 2021, in Abuja on the state of the nation.

According to The Punch, the meeting would be held under the backing of Interfaith Initiatives for Peace.

The group, jointly led by Obasanjo, Sultan, Abdulsalami, and Onaiyekan, will be discussing “pressing issues” encumbering the country.

According to a letter addressed to the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Ayuba Wabba, issues such as national unity, security, peace, integration, economic revitalisation, and development will be discussed at the meeting.
