Viral internet star, Antwain Fowler, dies of strange illness at six
Viral internet star, Antwain Fowler, has died at just six years old.
The young boy became an online sensation when his mum posted a video of him sitting in a car asking ‘where we about to eat at?’
It was a beautifully innocent clip that has managed to rack up 24 million views since it was posted on YouTube two years ago.
His social media pages had been documenting his health battles, with his mum revealing he had been diagnosed with autoimmune enteropathy when he was one, which is a condition that prevents the body from absorbing nutrition.
In a heartbreaking development, the young boy has died. A post on his official Instagram page said his mum is absolutely devastated.
The picture on the social media site said: “The pain in my heart is like no other, why God.
She added in the caption: “Never in a million years, My heart is out my chest.”
A GoFundMe page set up earlier this year to help pay for his hospital bills attracted nearly $60,000 in donations.
The site revealed Antwain had undergone more than 25 surgeries and was hospitalised a ‘countless number of times due to his poor health condition’.
“The first four years of Antwain’s life was an everlasting fight, and very crucial experience for his family,” the GoFundMe said.
“Through unlimited prayers, faith, and doctors working around the clock Antwain is progressively healing; and truly grateful for all that he’s accomplished thus far.
“From the moment Antwain was released from the hospital he wanted to know one thing, ‘Where we bout to eat at’, which is what the entire world finds themselves asking quite often.”
Antwain recently underwent a procedure called intravenous immune globulin, which was done to help the boy gain some muscle.
His family was hoping this would be able to get him on the right track to recover.
The boy’s mum said he wanted to dress up as a character from Netflix’s Squid Game for Halloween this year however he was forced to spend the night of October 31 in hospital.
