Yuletide: Akinbade rejoices with Xtians

A leading governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, has joined the rest of the world and the people of the state, especially the Christians to mark the birth of Jesus Christ.

Akinbade who is fondly addressed as Soludero by his admirers,urged the people of the state to celebrate with caution and be conscious in order to protect themselves from the virulent coronavirus still ravaging the world.

The former Secretary to the Osun State Government implored the people of the state to keep hope alive despite the unprecedented level of hardship in the country and the state in particular.

He said,”Christmas is a huge lesson which every Christian and everybody must learn:It is about unconditional love and humility as symbolized by the birth of Jesus Christ which we must all embrace in our daily living.

“It is evident to all that there is unprecedented hardship in the country but we all can imbibe the lesson of the season to lessen the burden of this economic crisis by giving at our levels to our neighbours.

“Keep the hope alive as the dawn of a new era of peace,prosperity and development is coming to our dear state, Osun, in 2022 on the platform of the PDP and I am counting on everyone of you to be used by God to make this a reality for me and the party.

“Osun will be great again and the era of the majority suffering from the pants of hunger while few highly placed ones are overfed will soon be over. Merry Christmas to you all as we look forward to a change of government which the New Year will bring” Akinbade said
